Art Disk

Hello and welcome!

This is Art Disk!

Intended to celebrate the small and strange interactive experiences that are bubbling up from the Internet's subconscious, Art Disk also aims to share knowledge relevant to the creation of games, interactive digital art experiences and everything in between.

Art Disk's physical manifestation is 3.5 square inches and contains information about  lovely things that happen when art and technology overlap.

It is named after the "diskzines" that predated the internet. These executable files were physically shared by enthusiasts on floppy disks and when opened would display a graphic user interface, often with audio and other features, through which the user could access the data.

I started making Art Disk zines in 2016 to accompany the meetups I was hosting for Alt Games Vancouver. If these resonate with you I'd love to hear about it! Cheers <3
